Position Title: Teacher – Quran Hifz Teacher / Facilitator – Full-time / Occasional

Position Overview: Marifah School is seeking a dedicated and experienced Quran Hifz Program Teacher to join our team. The Quran Hifz Program Teacher will be responsible for teaching and guiding students in memorizing the Quran, as well as providing spiritual mentorship and fostering a love for the Quranic sciences.
Teacher Responsibilities:
- Quran Memorization Instruction:
- Implement effective teaching methodologies to facilitate Quran memorization.
- Provide individualized support and guidance to students in their memorization journey.
- Conduct regular assessments to track student progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Create a supportive and motivating learning environment conducive to Quranic memorization.
- Islamic Studies Integration:
- Integrate Islamic teachings, values, and principles into Quran memorization lessons.
- Foster a deep understanding of the Quranic text and its relevance to daily life.
- Encourage students to reflect on the spiritual and moral lessons found in the Quran.
- Tajweed and Recitation Skills Development:
- Teach proper Tajweed (Quranic recitation rules) and pronunciation to ensure accurate recitation.
- Help students improve their fluency, rhythm, and expression in Quranic recitation.
- Organize Tajweed workshops and practice sessions to enhance students’ recitation skills.
- Islamic Character Development:
- Serve as a role model of Islamic ethics and values for students.
- Encourage students to embody Islamic virtues such as humility, compassion, and patience.
- Instill a sense of reverence and awe for the Quran in students’ hearts.
- Parental Engagement:
- Communicate regularly with parents to provide updates on students’ progress and achievements.
- Collaborate with parents to support students’ Quran memorization at home.
- Organize parent-teacher meetings and workshops to discuss students’ educational and spiritual development.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies, Quranic Sciences, or related field.
- Hafiz/Hafiza of the Quran with strong Quran memorization skills.
- Ijazah (authorization) in Quranic recitation and teaching
- Proficiency in Tajweed rules and Quranic recitation.
- Previous experience teaching Quran memorization to students of various ages.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a supportive and motivating learning environment.
