Islamic Studies Teacher

Position Title: Islamic Studies Teacher – Full-time / Occasional
Reports to: Principal

Teacher Responsibilities:

  1. Curriculum Development and Delivery
    • Design and deliver comprehensive Islamic Studies curriculum for students from JK to Grade 8.
    • Integrate Islamic teachings, values, and practices into daily lessons and activities.
  2. Student Assessment and Support
    • Assess student understanding of Islamic concepts and adjust instruction accordingly.
    • Cultivate a respectful and inclusive classroom environment where students learn Islamic principles.
  3. Collaboration and Communication
    • Collaborate with colleagues to incorporate Islamic teachings across the curriculum.
    • Maintain regular communication with parents to discuss student progress and address concerns.
  4. Professional Development and Engagement
    • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance Islamic teaching skills and knowledge.
    • Supervise Islamic Studies-related extracurricular activities or events.
  5. Islamic Ethos and Role Modeling
    • Serve as a role model by embodying Islamic values and principles in conduct and demeanor.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies, Religious Studies, or a related field.
  • Teaching certification recognized by relevant educational authorities.
  • In-depth knowledge of Islamic teachings, jurisprudence, and ethics.
  • Previous teaching experience, preferably in Islamic education.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to personal and professional growth in accordance with Islamic principles.
