About Us
Marifah School is launching a STEM Coaching & Tuition Center to support elementary and secondary school students in Math, Science, and English. This program will run during evenings and weekends, offering group coaching as the primary model, with one-on-one tutoring available on demand.
We are seeking a Program Coordinator to help develop, launch, and manage this initiative. This is a part-time position with flexible hours, reporting directly to the Marifah School Management Team.
Role Overview
The Program Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Developing and structuring the tuition program.
- Recruiting, onboarding, and managing tutors.
- Registering students and scheduling classes.
- Promoting the program through social media and community outreach.
- Coordinating daily operations to ensure smooth execution.

Key Responsibilities
1. Program Development & Launch
- Design the structure, curriculum, and pricing of the coaching program.
- Develop policies for student enrollment, attendance, and tutor guidelines.
- Set up a clear process for registrations and class organization.
2. Tutor Recruitment & Onboarding
- Identify and interview potential tutors (qualified teachers, university students, and professionals).
- Conduct background checks and verify credentials.
- Set up training materials and onboarding processes.
3. Student Registration & Scheduling
- Organize and manage student sign-ups.
- Assign students to tutors based on subject expertise and availability.
- Develop and maintain evening & weekend class schedules.
4. Marketing & Community Engagement
- Promote the program through social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, LinkedIn).
- Create flyers, posters, and online ads targeting Ottawa communities.
- Connect with local schools, homeschooling groups, and community centers.
5. Operations & Administration
- Ensure classes run smoothly by coordinating between students and tutors.
- Maintain attendance records, progress tracking, and feedback collection.
- Manage basic financial tasks, such as tracking payments and tutor salaries.
- Provide weekly reports to Marifah School’s management team.
Qualifications & Skills
Essential Requirements:
✔ Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Education, Business, Administration, or a STEM-related field.
✔ Experience in program coordination, education, or administration.
✔ Strong ability to organize, plan, and execute programs from scratch.
Preferred Experience:
✔ Background in tutoring, teaching, or coaching students.
✔ Experience in hiring, managing, or coordinating tutors.
✔ Familiarity with STEM education and curriculum standards.
Technical & Soft Skills:
✔ Excellent communication & people skills (for interacting with tutors, parents, and students).
✔ Social media marketing experience (Facebook Ads, Instagram promotions, etc.).
✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and online registration tools.
✔ Ability to multitask, work independently, and meet deadlines.
Work Schedule & Compensation
🕒 Part-time (3-5 hours per week initially, flexible hours).
🏡 Hybrid work – Work remotely or from Marifah School.
💰 Hourly compensation (based on experience).
