Position Overview: Marifah School is seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice Principal to join our team. The Vice Principal will work closely with the Principal to support the school’s mission and objectives. The ideal candidate will be a passionate educator with strong leadership skills and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Principal: Collaborate with the Principal in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the school, including academic programs, student affairs, and staff management.
- Curriculum Development: Support the development and implementation of the school curriculum, ensuring alignment with MOE standards and Islamic values integration.
- Teacher Supervision: Provide guidance and support to teachers, including professional development opportunities, classroom observations, and performance evaluations.
- Student Discipline: Assist in maintaining a safe and conducive learning environment by enforcing school policies and addressing student behavior issues.
- Parent Communication: Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, school events, and other relevant information.
- Student Support Services: Coordinate student support services, including special education programs, counseling services, and extracurricular activities.
- Community Engagement: Foster positive relationships with the local community, including parents, community organizations, and other stakeholders.
- Administrative Duties: Oversee administrative tasks as needed, including scheduling, budget management, and student enrollment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Ontario Teaching Certification.
- Previous experience in a leadership role in an educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Islamic education principles and practices.
- Familiarity with Ministry of Education curriculum standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse and multicultural environment.
